The second and third rounds of the Indy Pro Series schedule are getting set to go this weekend, so we'll get the Official Discussion Thread started so that we can begin chatting out the event and the new season. The series got off to an inauspicious start in Homestead last weekend with an ugly event featuring huge wrecks, injured drivers and a shortened race. Hopefully, cooler headers will prevail on the streets of St. Petersburg.
So with some of the major players now identified, how do you think things are going to shake down this weekend? _________________ Rob Howden

| Driver exsperience will pay off. There is not alot of practice time before qualifying so driver who have been to St. Pete will have a kinda big advantage. But the field has tuns of talent and im sure everybody will get up to speed just fine. |

That was an interesting practice/qualifying session this morning. The tangle between Wieringa and Antinucci certainly took the wind out the sails, as I was prepping for an exciting final 15 minutes. Looks like guys were getting ready to really start rolling.
Kudos to Jay Howard for grabbing the top spot...not a bad debut for the Speedworks teams. The reigning series champ is going to be tough to beat come race time. And with Howard currently only signed for three races, a win here could help put some funding into the program to keep him in the car.
It looks like the road course has done its job in separating the field, allowing the cream to rise to the top. The new guys are well back right now. _________________ Rob Howden
