Hi folks,
The results from Saturday's qualifying session at the Pacific F2000 opener from Fontana can be found here:
http://www.eformulacarnews.com/news_info.php?n=2093
Looks like Team G.FRO's Jeff Westphal has drawn first blood. Young gun Nicky Freytag sits a strong second in the BMW Engineering entry while PR1's Thomas Merril and Patrick Barrett are just 0.006 seconds apart in third and fourth.

What a weekend!
Thanks Rob for the updates. And thank you Peter West and Les Phillips for your hard work this weekend. I had a great time. _________________ "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you." Jedi Master Yoda- |

High winds really turned the track upside down. I had a hard time getting the car to stay put throughout most of the critical turns, especially exiting the corners. I made the most of car and was lucky enough to lead a majority of the race.
My teammate Thomas Merrill qualified on pole with Mitch Cunningham along side. I lined up third and Nicky Freytag fourth. At the drop of the green flag Merrill and I drafted past Cunningham but entering turn three Merrill locked up his rear tires and spun. Spreitzer took over the top spot on the exit of turn four while I followed close behind in second. Lap 3 I took the lead and we worked together to build a gap over 3rd. On the last lap Spreitzer made the pass for the lead going into turn 3 and would go on to win race two. I came home in second and Jeff Westphal rounded out the top 3.
Entering Willow Springs Spreitzer and I are tied for the Championship with Westphal in third. _________________ "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you." Jedi Master Yoda- |
