Team E Racing has announced it will resume its Firestone Indy Lights campaign during the final four rounds of the 2011 season. American rookie Rusty Mitchell will again drive for the Florida-based squad, getting behind the wheel on three ovals and one street circuit.

The No. 17 Motorola-Petro Communications/Team E Racing entry will again be part of the Indy Lights commencing on August 14, at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, with Mitchell returning to the cockpit. As part of new four-race program with the Florida squad, the Texas racer will not only be seeking to add to Team E's race-winning resume in Round 11, but also get behind the wheel on the brand new street circuit in Baltimore, and the ovals in Kentucky and Las Vegas.

A native of Midland, Texas, Mitchell rejoins Team E Racing in Indy Lights having made his series debut on the streets of Long Beach and also run at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the Freedom. Mitchell, who is using the upcoming four races as a potential stepping stone to a full Indy Lights campaign in 2011, will be looking to build on his seventh place finish at Indy when he contests the final four races of the season. Prior to joining the highly-competitive series, Mitchell contested two season of the Star Mazda Championship (primarily as a family-run squad), earning one pole position, one podium position, four top-fives and 14 top-10s. The Texan is also a former SCCA Southwest Division National Formula Enterprises title and FormulaCar Magazine FE Championship Midwest/Southwest champion, as well as a multiple karting champion.

Formed in 2008 by businessman Neil Enerson, Team E Racing wasted little time in establishing itself as Indy Lights race-winning outfit. The St. Petersburg, Fla.-based team won the sixth-ever race it contested (Milwaukee Mile with Bobby Wilson), and added a runner-up finish at the Nashville Superspeedway in its inaugural season of action, earning the New Team of the Year award. With a championship-winning staff leading the charge, Team E has prided itself on not only challenging for top honors when on-course, but also giving young drivers the tools and opportunity to showcase their talents.
