FormulaCar Magazine Challenge Series Program: CenDiv East vs. West Challenge

The CenDiv East vs. West Challenge (EWC) is widely regarded as one of the premier regional level Formula Ford 1600 series in the United States.

In operation for seven years, the EWC features large fields of Formula Ford and Club Fords racing 10 times over five weekends from late-May to early October at some of the premier race tracks in the Central U.S.

The 2006 edition of the CenDiv East vs. West Challenge featured good battles throughout the season, with Tom Stillwell winning the Formula Ford title and Phil Kingham emerging victorious in the Club Formula Ford class. Last year, Allen Wheatcroft captured the FF title, while Ohil Kingham repeated as the CFF champion.

In addition for battling for class honours, the championship features the Lamont Cup, which pits the Eastern region drivers versus the Western region drivers.

Thanks to great support from its series sponsors, the EWC not only awards the race and championship winners, but numerous additional prizes are presented during each race event.
