Pro Formula Ford 2000 standouts ZSports Midwest will return to Cooper Tires presents the USF2000 National Championship powered by Mazda competition at Road America, with American Scott Anderson joining the Minnesota-based team for Rounds Nine and Ten in Wisconsin.

ZSports Midwest, after a hiatus from series competition due to driver funding issues, will again be part of the talented mix of teams battling for top honors when the USF2000 National Championship returns to action at Road America on August 21-22. Anderson, having focused his racing efforts to date in 2010 in the Skip Barber National series, will make his series debut piloting a ZSports Midwest prepared Zetec powered Van Diemen during the Road America doubleheader.

"ZSports Midwest is excited to have Scott aboard for this event and possibly beyond," said Team Principal Ron Boltik. "Scott will be competing in the Skip Barber event at our home track and this gives him, and us, the chance to show what he can do in a two-liter car."

A native Fort Collins, Colo., Anderson joins ZSports Midwest having raced a variety of cars over the past few years. In addition to racing karts for four years, finishing second in the Colorado Sprint Championship, he has raced Legends and a Spec Racer Ford, winning Rookie of the Year honors in the SCCA Rock Mountain region. He has extensive experience in Skip Barber Racing competition, finishing third in the recent 2009/2010 Skip Barber Western Series, and is currently seventh in the Skip Barber National series, having finished a career best third at VIRginia International Raceway earlier in the year.

"I am looking forward to racing with ZSports Midwest at Road America for my first USF2000 experience," stated Anderson. "I'm very excited to see how quickly I can adapt to the new car, and I feel that ZSports Midwest has the experience to get me up to speed quickly."

Based in Minneapolis, Min., ZSports Midwest has quickly established itself as a leading pro Formula Ford 2000 squad. After earning its inaugural pro win in 2008, ZSports Midwest captured three wins and the “Rookie of the Year” honors in the 2009 F2000 Championship Series. The team scored a top-five in its USF2000 National Championship debut weekend on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla.

While the current agreement between Anderson and ZSports Midwest is only for the USF2000 National Championship event at Road America, both parties are looking at securing additional funding to participate in additional events. The Minnesota team is also actively looking for more drivers for the remainder of 2010 and all of 2011.
