BUDAPEST, HUNGARY (July 28, 2010) - After a frustration filled German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, Alexander Rossi is looking forward to the GP3 Series next stop this weekend at the Hungaroring in Budapest. The ART driver is anxious to score points as he did in the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix while competing in the International Formula Master Series with a third place podium finish.

In Germany this past weekend, Saturday morning and Round Nine of the GP3 Series saw Rossi with a disappointing starting position of P19, after he endured a qualifying session in wet conditions where he could not find a comfortable balance in the car set up, compounded by a grid penalty carried over from practice.

Rossi made a sensational start from 19th place, moving to P11 by the exit of turn one. At the hairpin, a multi-car shunt brought out the safety car. At the restart, three laps later, Rossi attacked again, muscling up to P6 through turn one, while Rio Haryanto spun causing several cars to make evasive moves to avoid a collision, which resulted in Rossi being pushed off track, then pitched into a clockwise spin down the centre of the track, causing considerable damage and debris, beckoning the second appearance of the safety car.

“In race one, the launch and restart were good, but that was about all," Rossi said. "It was good to make up eight positions on the opening lap, at that point I thought it was going to be a good race. It's frustrating and a shame, because I was up to sixth place at that point and could have scored some big points despite starting 19th on the grid. Daniel had nowhere to go, it was a racing incident, but I really hope the remainder of the season I have opportunities to show my real abilities."

Sunday morning, starting 23rd for race two at Hockenhiem, Rossi was brilliant making up 15 positions to finish eighth in another caution filled race.

"In race two it made for some good racing with the laps I had to work with," Rossi added. "I would not be truthful if I said I wasn't frustrated. The main concern I have at the moment is our pace in qualifying. In race trim I can hustle the car. I'm confident on cold tires, but at the moment we're making life too difficult. I'm looking forward to Hungary, scoring some points and turning things around."

Rossi currently lies third in Championship with 26 points, Robert Wickens second, and Esteban Guiterrez first.

The next rounds of the GP3 Series takes place, July 31- August 1 at the Hungaroring in Hungary, alongside the GP2 Series and Formula One.
