Canadian-based Brian Graham Racing/TLM Racing with Grote have announced the signing of Mackenzie Clare to a driver development contract.

As part of a planned longterm partnership, the 14 year-old Clare has joined forces with Brian Graham Racing/TLM Racing with Grote via a driver development program. With the goal of advancing his driving skills, technical understanding of the car, and the overall dynamics of car racing, Clare will take part in selected tests, and when scheduling permits accompany the team to Ontario F1200 Championship and Ontario Formula Ford Challenge races. In addition, the team will work with Clare to create a sponsor marketing package and teach the basics of sponsor hunting. Clare has already been behind the wheel of one of the teams F1200 cars and Formula Fords in the fall of 2008.

A native of Barrie, Ont., Clare will return to the karting ranks full-time in 2009. After winning three consecutive Rookie of the Year awards in the Novice, Two-Stroke and Junior Rotax classes, the Canadian will race in the Junior Rotax class this season in the T.R.A.K and SKC series.

In effort to create Canada's premier formula car development team, Brian Graham Racing/TLM Racing with Grote was recently formed via partnership of two of the nations leading junior race car teams. The new partnership features a three-tier program for its drivers via the Ontario F1200 Championship, Ontario Formula Ford Challenge and the F2000 Championship Series.

In operation since 1998, Brian Graham Racing has competed in various championships over the years, including the F2000 Championship Series, Formula Ford 2000 Zetec Championship, Canadian Formula Ford Championship and Ontario Formula Ford Challenge. A proven winner, the team has captured several CASC Championship titles and finished on the podium at the prestigious SCCA National Championship Runoffs. Over the past two years, the team has won 10 races in the Ontario Formula Ford Challenge, capturing the 2007 series title and back-to-back Rookie of the Year awards, and won once in the F2000 Championship Series.

Formed in 2005, TLM Racing has quickly developed into a leading force in the Canadian Formula 1200 race community. After capturing the inaugural Vallis Cup and three Ontario F1200 Championship wins in 2007, the team finished second in the title fight, winning five races, including a second consecutive Vallis Cup victory last season.
