Team Moore Racing has announced that it has signed 21 year-old Toronto native Zack Meyer to drive its No. 2 car for the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires in 2014.

Meyer, a graduate of the Pro Mazda championship presented by Cooper Tires in the Mazda Road to Indy program, will make his Indy Lights debut with series race winner Team Moore Racing. With the support of his sponsors DAMIS PARTNERS III and Innisfil Indy Karting, he is ready to climb up to the last rung of the Mazda-backed driver development program before entering IndyCar.

"I am more than excited to be racing and be a part of Team Moore Racing for the 2014 season of
Indy Lights," stated Meyer. "The atmosphere at the shop and around the team is exactly what a racecar driver needs to be focused and on point at all times. Communication and understanding one another is key, and itís all there. I really look forward to an amazing season with TMR and increasing my experience level of racing. One day, hopefully sooner rather than later, I can be at the top in IndyCar. I want to thank my mom for all her support, and Joe Launi for making me the driver I am today."

"Everyone here is excited to have Zack come and compete with us in the 2014 championship," commented Team Owner Mark Moore. "Zack brings a youthful exuberance to our whole program. It is such a pleasure to watch a young man who truly loves to drive a racecar, there are no words to describe it. We had a very successful two day test at Putnam Road Course Park in September, and I really didnít believe my stop watch. We have a complete testing program, and will be building towards the first event. I believe this to be another very good example of how well prepared the young drivers coming out of Pro Mazda are. They are certainly ready to take on Indy Lights."

Meyer lists among his accomplishments in his young career, sixth place in the 2013 Pro Mazda Series, fourth place in 2011 Star Mazda Winter Series, the KZ2 Championship title in both the 2011 and 2012 Florida Winter Tour, as well as the champion crown in both the 2009 and 2010 Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship in the F125/ICC shifter class.

The 2014 edition of the newly revitalized Indy Lights Presented Cooper Tires commences on March 30th on the Streets of St. Petersburg as part of the IndyCar series season-opener.
