GERMANY (August 14, 2012) - Caterham F1 Team Test Driver Alexander Rossi will join INTEL at 2012 Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, on August 17-18.

Gamescom 2012 marks the fourth year for this successful gaming conference, debuting in 2009 with some 245,000 visitors and 458 exhibitors from 31 countries making it the largest gaming platform conference in the world.

Rossi has been affiliated with INTEL and Intel Extreme Masters since 2009. A relationship that began while Rossi was competing in Formula BMW and grew after winning the Formula BMW Americas and Formula BMW World Championship in 2008. In 2009, Rossi supported BMW and INTEL for Pit Lane Park Consumer Electronics Show Las Vegas. In 2010 and 2011 his duties extended to INTEL's gaming partnership program, Intel Extreme Masters, where he joined the chip processor giant at CeBIT, Hannover, Germany racing head to head with professional gamers and fans.

Intel Extreme Masters is the global pro gaming events tour since 2006 with over US$2.8 million given out in prize money in six seasons. From 147 Formula car starts, 20 year old Alexander Rossi has 38 wins, 64 podiums, 33 poles, and current win percentage of 25.85%. in 2012, he is Caterham F1 Team Official Test Driver and World Series by Renualt driver. Last year, Rossi was third overall and rookie champion in Formula Renault 3.5 Series. He was in the AirAsia Team Lotus Driver Development Program and FIA Institute Young Driver Excellence Academy. In the 2010 ART Grand Prix GP3, he finished fourth overall championship. The 2009 season he was the BMW Sauber F1 Testing - F1 Superlicense Qualifications and GP2 Asia/Meritus Racing and Ocean Racing driver, ninth overall. He was also the International Formula Master Championship Rookie Champion with ISR Racing. The 2008 season featured Rossi was the Formula BMW World Champion and Formula BMW Americas champion.
