British driver Harry Tincknell (Carlin) scored a lights-to-flag victory in the 11th round of the Formula 3 Euro Series on Sunday morning (July 1). He crossed the finish line 0.419 seconds ahead of Felix Serralles (Fortec Motorsport). After 22 laps, Pascal Wehrlein (Mücke Motorsport) ended up as the best-placed rookie, finishing third in the race at the 2.3-km Norisring. In the Euro Series drivers' standings, Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam) remains in the lead. His margin over William Buller (Carlin) is still eight points.

In the early stages of the race, the safety car was deployed for a few laps, after Emil Bernstorff (ma-con Motorsport) hit the wall. After the restart, Tincknell remained in the lead of the 28 strong field. Throughout the race, he wasn't able to pull clear from the American Serralles, but he safely brought his maiden Formula 3 Euro Series race win home. Behind them, Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport) was initially third at the Norisring in Nuremberg, until the Swede was overtaken by his teammate Pascal Wehrlein on lap 17. By finishing fifth, Buller scored enough points to move up into second place of the drivers' standings ahead of Raffaele Marciello (Prema Powerteam). American Michael Lewis (Prema Powerteam) crossed the stripe in 11th.

"I am very happy with this victory," stated Tincknell. "I was already happy when I had moved up from 15th to eighth place in race one. In this race, my plan was to make it through the first corner in first place, which I managed to do both after the start and after the re-start following the safety-car intervention. After that, I had to take care not to get off the line, because off the line, it was very slippery."

The Formula 3 Euro Series tripleheader at the Norisring street circuit in Germany concludes with Round 12 on Sunday afternoon (July 1).

The top-three, along with how the North American racers did, will be posted following every session on the EFCN Facebook page, and EFCN Twitter page.
